In the same spirit of care and respect, this section is dedicated to Ukraine, a country enduring immense hardship during the ongoing invasion of an aggressor. Let us never forget that behind the headlines, there is a nation and a culture fighting to survive.

Croatia and Ukraine share a history of struggle, resilience and a deep love of freedom. Both nations cherish their traditions, music, language and an indomitable spirit in the face of adversity. Today, more than ever, strengthening solidarity and unity among the peoples of Europe is essential to ensuring lasting peace and security for us all.

Europe, with its rich diversity of nations, faces complex challenges, and protecting the sovereignty and freedom of each country is a shared responsibility. Together, let us build bridges of hope, compassion and mutual support.

I have admired Ukraine deeply since 2014, when I first met some of the most incredible and kind-hearted people, all of them Ukrainian. Their strength, resilience, and warmth left a lasting impression on me.

A special thanks to my friend Yevheniy, whose generosity and insight helped me understand the nuances of Ukrainian culture and the difficult realities of war. His guidance and honesty have meant more than words can say.
I would also like to mention Nill, a dear young Ukrainian friend of mine. He shows remarkable courage and lightness in the face of the hardships of growing up in a country at war, all while preserving the sparkle of his youthful and artistic soul.
